SAC C-17 a favorite in world's largest Military airshow

Fairford, 18 July 2022 - Over 30,000 people took the opportunity to come on board one of the Strategic Airlift Capability’s C-17 aircraft last weekend at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) hosted by RAF Fairford in the UK.

The world’s largest military airshow attracted half a million visitors over the course of the three day event, welcoming 266 aircraft and 1500 personnel from across the globe, including a delegation of military and civilian representatives from the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) with a C-17.

The SAC C-17 proved to be very popular with visitors over all three days, where it served as a landmark at the event as the largest aircraft on display. Over 30,000 people queued up to be able to board and look around the jet.

The SAC team took the opportunity to engage with aviation stakeholders, partners, Member Nations' representatives and aviation enthusiasts who visited the aircraft or checked in at the visitors’ tent.
